Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using CodeTip, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily access CodeTip for personal, non-commercial use. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

Modify or copy the platform materials
Use the materials for any commercial purpose or public display
Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on CodeTip
Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of CodeTip, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

User Content

Content Ownership

You retain all rights to the code tips and content you create on CodeTip. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and improving our platform.

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to post your content and that your content does not violate the rights of any third party.

Prohibited Content

You agree not to post content that:

Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of privacy
Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights
Contains malicious code, viruses, or any harmful computer code
Impersonates any person or entity or misrepresents your affiliation
Violates any applicable laws or regulations

Acceptable Use

You agree to use CodeTip only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the platform in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the platform
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the platform
Use any automated system to access the platform in a manner that sends more requests than a human can reasonably produce
Interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers or networks connected to the platform
Use the platform to transmit any advertising or promotional material without our prior written consent

Intellectual Property

The platform and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of CodeTip and its licensors. The platform is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Collaboration and Version Control

When you enable collaboration on your code tips, you allow other users to propose changes. You retain full control over accepting or rejecting proposed changes. Approved changes become part of your code tip's version history with proper attribution to the contributor.

Disclaimer of Warranties

CodeTip is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant that the results obtained from using the platform will be accurate or reliable.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CodeTip, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the platform.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CodeTip and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the platform or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CodeTip operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our platform after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
